Predictions

All EB categories, except for EB3 “Other Workers” have been made current for July 2007 by Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) in an effort to speed up adjustment of status cases, and to increase the demand in general.  If this move increases the demand, the EB categories will be back to square. It is advisable that applicants are prepared for the possibility that this Current status is temporary and not the future trend. The Bulletin predicts cut-offs and retrogression by this September, most likely for China-mainland born and India, but also possibly for Mexico and Philippines. The Bulletin also predicts severe retrogressions likely in FY-2008.
