2008 H-2B visa cap reached

The cap on H-2B visas for the year 2008 was reached on the first week of January, announced the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). January 2nd 2008 is being considered the “final receipt date” for the cap limit of 33,000 H2B visas. Applicants for these H-2B petitions will be eligible for work on October 1st 2008, if their case is favorably adjudicated.

The H-2B visa program allows foreign workers in temporary jobs that are subject to time constrains – like seasonal jobs or one-time jobs etc.
