USCIS to prohibit multiple H-1B filings in future

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will soon be finalizing a regulation that will put a stop to employers filing more than one H-1B petition on behalf of a single alien worker. The regulation is most likely to come into effect in Fiscal year 2009. Details are not yet available as to what is the exact scope of this regulation, but indications are USCIS is deliberating on issues like whether to permit foreign professionals to file for H1B separately under of H-1B general quota and the H1B masters quota simultaneously.
