UPDATE USCIS: CHANGE OF ADDRESS INFORMATION

Nonimmigrants must remember to update USCIS with their change in address. Should a nonimmigrant move their residence in the United States he or she must report the address change within 10 days. Below please see guidance to complete a change of address with USCIS:

ü  Have a pending or approved:

  • Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant filed as VAWA self-petitioner
  • Form I-914, Application for T Nonimmigrant Status (“T visa”),
  • Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant Status (“U visa”),
  • Form I-765V, Application for Employment Authorization for Abused Nonimmigrant Spouse,
  • Form I-485, Application to Adjust status as an abused spouse under the Cuban Adjustment Act

File your AR-11 change of address request at:

 USCIS

NOTE: If you previously filed for a waiver of theI-751 joint filing requirement, then there are separate filing requirements which will not be detailed here. Contact an immigration attorney or reference the USCIS website for further information on this circumstance.

ü  If you have no pending cases:

File Form AR-11 online at: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

OR

File Form AR-11 by mail at: U.S. Department of Homeland Security

                                                          Citizenship and Immigration Services

                                                                     Attn: Change of Address

ü  If you have pending applications or petitions, you need to complete two steps:

Step 1: File Form AR-11 online at: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

OR

File Form AR-11 by mail at: U.S. Department of Homeland Security

                                                          Citizenship and Immigration Services

                                                                     Attn: Change of Address

                                                                         1344 Pleasant Drive

                                                                      Harrisonburg, VA 22801

 

 

Step 2: Change your address on any pending or recently approved applications or petitions

online at: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

OR

Change your address on any pending or recently approved applications or petitions by phone at: 1-800-375-5283

NOTE: Both steps can be completed online at the same time. Once you complete Form

AR-11 online - the system will also provide you the opportunity to change your

address on any pending or recently approved applications. If you use our Online

Change of Address to complete Form AR-11, you do NOT need to file a paper Form AR-11.
