The June 2008 Visa Bulletin, released by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) indicates that EB-3 numbers are almost over for this fiscal year and the numbers will probably be retrogressed starting July, till September 2008. A Republican committee has asked the current Democrat leadership to clear a proposed bill which proposes to raise the H1-B visa (specialty occupation) numbers, from the current 65,000 to 115,000, with provision for 20 percent annual increase.
